Beyond Websites: E-commerce, Automation and API Integration at Sheen

Some businesses need more than a website. Three of our services exist for them: e-commerce solutions, business automation and API integration. Here is what each actually does.

E-commerce: Selling, Not Just Displaying

An online store is a different thing from a website with products on it. It needs a catalogue that stays accurate, a cart and checkout that people complete, stock that reflects reality, order management the staff can operate, and a way to take money.

Payments are the honest complication in Afghanistan. International gateways are not straightforwardly available, so most stores run on cash on delivery, bank transfer, or a mix, sometimes with agreements arranged locally. We build to the payment methods you can actually use rather than pretending you are selling in Europe.

For Afghan businesses abroad, the picture is different and normal card checkout is usually available. Either way, the store should be built for how your customers really pay.

Business Automation: Removing the Repeated Work

Every business has a task someone does by hand, every day, that a computer should be doing. Copying orders from one place into a spreadsheet. Sending the same confirmation message. Chasing an unpaid invoice. Compiling the same weekly report.

Automation is unglamorous and it is often the highest-return work we do. It does not need new software, just a look at where your team's hours actually go.

The rule of thumb: if someone does it more than once a week and the steps are the same every time, it can probably be automated. The saving compounds every week thereafter.

API Integration: Making Systems Talk

Most businesses run several tools that know nothing about each other. The website does not know what the accounting system knows. Stock lives in one place and the store shows another number.

API integration connects them, so data entered once appears everywhere it is needed. It is also how you add capability you should not build yourself: payments, SMS, maps, delivery tracking, messaging platforms.

The failure mode to avoid is an integration that breaks silently. We build them to report failures rather than quietly losing data, which is the difference between a working integration and a time bomb.

How to Know Which You Need

If you sell products and take orders by phone or direct message, you need e-commerce.

If your staff spend hours on repetitive copying and sending, you need automation.

If you enter the same information into two systems, you need integration.

Most growing businesses need some of all three, in that order.

You do not have to do everything at once. Tell us where the work is piling up and we will tell you which of these would relieve it fastest, and what it would take.
